Very few cookbooks I have found have recipes for Alfredo Sauce. On the internet you can gain quite a few but many call for a long list of ingredients that I feel are not really indispensable for a great Alfredo sauce.

The dish now known as "Fettuccine Alfredo" was first called Fettuccine al triplo burro, which translates to Fettuccine with triple butter. 2 chicken tenders (about 4 ounces total), prick into bite size pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup milk
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 ounces of wide egg noodles

Instructions

1 - begin the egg noodles cooking in salted water (6 - 8 minutes)  while preparing the sauce.
2 - Mix the salt and pepper with the flour in a medium sized bowl.
3 - add the chicken pieces and shake well to coat all the pieces.
4 - Heat the olive oil in a frying pan or skillet.
5 - Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned.
6 - Add the milk to deglaze the pan, and continue heating until the sauce thickens.
7 - Add the Parmesan cheese and when melted ( 1 or 2 minutes)  engage from the heat.
8 - Toss with the cooked noodles and assist immediately.
